MANAGING ATTORNEY

Alexandra is an ILD Managing Attorney providing consultation and legal representation to individuals through ILD’s Legal-Education partnerships within the California Community College and California State University (CSU) systems.

EXPERIENCE Alexandra formerly worked at RAICES in Austin, Texas, where she was the managing attorney of RAICES's Austin operations for nine years. While at RAICES, Alexandra represented clients in various humanitarian and family-based cases, including family petitions, naturalization, adjustment of status, U visa, VAWA, TPS, DACA, SIJS, and asylum. Before managing the Austin office, Alexandra took on different roles at RAICES.  She started her career in San Antonio, Texas, representing unaccompanied children and asylum seekers in detention.  From there, she went on to direct RAICES's unaccompanied children's services in San Antonio and Corpus Christi.  She later transitioned to general immigration services and built a robust legal services program in Austin, Texas, in collaboration with a local refugee resettlement organization.  She also directed RAICES's community immigration services across the state of Texas.   

EDUCATION Alexandra holds a B.A. in English and Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. She is a member of the Texas Bar and is fluent in Spanish.
