MANAGING ATTORNEY
Jessica is an ILD managing attorney, she represents individuals in immigration detention who have been injured while detained and supports the organization’s litigation efforts.
EXPERIENCE Prior to joining ILD, Jessica worked for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), handling Federal Tort Claims Act matters and other litigation. As a law student, Jessica interned with the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), the American Immigration Council (AIC), and the ACLU of Michigan. Following law school, Jessica clerked for Judge Keith Ellison of the Southern District of Texas and Judge Pamela Harris of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
EDUCATION Jessica holds a BS in Psychology from Yale University and a JD from Harvard Law School. She is a member of the Texas and Massachusetts bars and is fluent in German and Mandarin Chinese.
