Nixi is an ILD Senior Legal Assistant supporting cases for clients through ILD’s partnerships with the California Community College (CCC) system, a unique program that provides immigration legal services to students and community members over thirty Community Colleges throughout the state of California. She supports various immigration matters, including removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and naturalization. 

EXPERIENCE Before joining ILD, Nixi was an immigration managing paralegal and Partial BIA Accredited Representative at Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto (CLSEPA). 

EDUCATION Nixi graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and received a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. She is fluent in Spanish.
